About Michelle:

Michelle is a wife, mother to twins, professional photographer, business owner, aspiring artist, and overall just loves life.  Her hobbies include walking, reading romance novels, and hanging out with her family of course. She picked up her first film camera 20 years ago to shoot for an art project. It has always been her favorite medium of art.

Five years after college while working full time in employee benefits and group health insurance she started training in professional portrait photography with her first digital DSLR camera. In 2013 she left the corporate world to pursue her own small business as a professional portrait photographer.  The studio was opened in 2015 and recently moved to a retail location in Bearden in the Fall of 2019.  Michelle has a love for learning, serving, talking to people, and creating which has served her well in both of her careers. She would be excited to hear your story.

Education:  Bachelor of Science in Business Management from The University of Tennessee Knoxville.  Master of Education in Human Resource Development from Tusculum University

Why?  "I started taking portraits full time after the birth of my twins. Before that I had messed around in all types of photography trying to decide what I wanted to specialize in. My newborn session with Jill Geisler, local photographer, friend and mentor changed my view on newborn, child and family photography. I look at my newborn portraits every day on my walls. It was a year after their session when I decided that was the path I wanted to take. I want everyone to have beautiful child portraits like me. Our babies change so fast and it needs to be captured in a special way. But not only captured, they need to be hanging on your walls for you to walk by everyday and smile." - XOXO, Michelle

You:  Michelle takes great pride in being chosen to capture this special time in your life. You're beautiful now and tiny feet don't last long, so don't wait until later to capture this time. Our portraits tell our stories. What kind of story do you have to tell? How do you want to be photographed?
